Santa Ana, Calif., December 3, 2019 – The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Yvonne Pilon, President and CEO of the WEtech Alliance, to its Board of Directors.
“We are excited to welcome Yvonne to the TECNA Board of Directors,” said Doug Robertson, TECNA Chairman and President and CEO of Venn Innovation. “Yvonne has been a great contributor and leader in the TECNA community for the last several years, and we are pleased she is the latest addition to the Board.”
The TECNA Board recently voted to appoint Pilon to fill the remainder of the term of Illinois Technology Association CEO Julia Kanouse. Julia will be taking a position with ISACA and joining the Board of Directors of the Illinois Technology Association.
“Coming from a region that truly bridges North America (Windsor / Detroit), we understand the importance of connected economies, industries and policies” said Pilon. “I am excited to join the TECNA Board of Directors and work alongside the 60+ Tech Councils to grow and connect the North American technology economy.”
TECNA serves its members and the industry through its strong peer-to-peer network, professional development programming and regional initiatives to raise the visibility and viability of the technology industry. TECNA represents approximately 60 IT and technology trade organizations who, in turn, represent more than 22,000 technology-related companies in North America.
Twelve other executives from the US and Canada currently serve on the TECNA Board of Directors.
Doug Robertson, President and CEO of Venn Innovation Inc., is the Chair of the TECNA Board of Directors; Ryan Weber, CEO, KC Tech Council, is the Board Vice-Chair; and Matt Gardner, CEO, California Technology Council (CTC), is Board Treasurer.
