Recognizing that physical distancing will be in full effect for the May long weekend, snapd is creating a virtual fireworks experience delivered through our augmented reality (AR) platform. Their hope is to give people something uplifting and shared for us to enjoy together even while we are apart.

Join neighbours across Ontario for an exciting fireworks experience in augmented reality (AR) and help us set the world record for the largest simultaneous AR event ever! On Monday, May 18th at 8pm, you’ll be able to view the virtual fireworks with the snapd HUB app. While we can’t all be together, we can share this common experience from our backyards, balconies or wherever else we find ourselves. You can also use the app to share your favourite photos of how you’re thriving at home and they may be featured in the fireworks pre-show or in the next issue of your local snapd!
