WEtech Alliance is thrilled to announce that Muna Fadel, founder of Alchemist Athletics, has been selected for Communitech’s Fierce Founders Uplift program.

Fadel joins the latest cohort of founders chosen for this year’s cohort, which provides women and non-binary founders from equity-deserving groups with $10,000 in non-matching funds, mentorship, and the networks they need to scale. Through this three-to-five-month program, participants work directly with Communitech’s growth coaches to build customized growth plans, strengthen leadership capabilities, uncover new market opportunities, and refine their go-to-market strategy.

She follows in the footsteps of Fuseinat Brimah, founder of Cangro AgriFoods, who represented the region in last year’s Fierce Founders Uplift cohort.

Founder Muna Fadel brings innovation and grit to the forefront with Alchemist Athletics, a performance-driven apparel and gear company blending athletic design with functional, athlete-centered innovation. Her brand continues to gain traction, with products actively sold on Amazon, and she was recently featured in The DRIVE Magazine. Fadel’s momentum is further reflected in her win at last year’s Take Your Shot competition hosted by The Bridge Youth Resource Centre, where she took home the top prize.

Communitech’s Fierce Founders program is funded by FedDev Ontario, the City of Kitchener, and the Province of Ontario. It continues to empower women and non-binary founders to scale their businesses.

Through WEtech’s partnership with Communitech, founders across Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent now have direct access to this national program. Together, WEtech and Communitech have delivered more than $220,000 in funding to regional women and non-binary founders — opening doors to capital, coaching, and growth pathways that were previously out of reach.
