Retaining our youth in Windsor-Essex is a priority, and creating a local culture of entrepreneurship is critical to diversifying our economy. Teresa Piruzza, MPP for Windsor West and WEtech Alliance partnered to present the Windsor-Essex Entrepreneurial Spark Tour. The Spark Tour will showcase successful businesses and organizations to raise awareness of the benefits of entrepreneurship and available resources inWindsor and EssexCounty.The event combined post-secondary education, industry and community stakeholders to create a platform to celebrate the contribution of local entrepreneurs and inspire future ones. Thirteen organizations and agencies had the opportunity to raise awareness, showcase their success to college level students, and a chance to expand their talent pool. Hundreds of students were encouraged and welcomed to explore Windsor-Essex’s booming entrepreneurial culture and provided opportunities to participate. This event is the first of a series of initiatives to highlight Windsor-Essex’s “entrepreneurial leaders”
