WEtech Alliance hosted MPP Percy Hatfield on Friday, August 3rd.

The Member of Provincial Parliament representing Windsor-Tecumseh spent two hours touring the University of Windsor’s EPICentre accelerator and learning about the work of WEtech Alliance.

“I recognize the value of our Regional Innovative Centres and their success in growing our economy through innovative partnerships and job creation,” said Hatfield.

In addition to talking about WEtech initiatives and business acceleration programs, Mr. Hatfield had the opportunity to speak with Artur Pawliszko from Kegshoe, a start-up company which provides keg tracking solutions to breweries.

Kegshoe was recently invited into the prestigious ScaleUP Tech Accelerator Program, a challenging four-month accelerator led by WEtech Alliance and sponsored by Libro Credit Union that helps tech start-ups scale.

“Many people get to know WEtech from our community outreach through initiatives like Tech Week, Nerd Olympics, FIRST Robotics and Hacking Health,” says Yvonne Pilon, President and CEO of WEtech Alliance. “Percy was also really keen on learning about the day-to-day business acceleration programs that help our regional companies succeed and scale.”
