WEtech Alliance and The Accelerator are gearing up for a challenge this holiday season. The challenge, to collect as many food items and cash donations as we can in support of CBC Windsor’s Sound of the Season Food Drive Challenge. We are encouraging tenants, clients, and local entrepreneurs to come together and donate to this great cause. As we all know, entrepreneurs are the drivers of our economy so why not be the drivers of the Food Drive Challenge!
About CBC’s Sound of the Season: Donate to CBC Windsor’s Sound of the Season and help people facing hunger in your community! Through the Ontario Association of Food Banks’ provincial food bank network, your gift will help acquire and distribute food to over 1,100 programs in Ontario. This includes breakfast clubs, school meal and snack programs, neighbourhood food banks, community kitchens, emergency shelters and seniors’ centres.
What are the most needed food items?
- Baby formula & food
- Beans & lentils
- Canned fruits & vegetables
- Canned fish & meat
- Cans of soup or hearty stew
- Dried pasta & tomato sauce
- Macaroni & cheese
- Peanut butter
- Rice
- Canned, powdered or Tetra Pak cartons of milk
Want to drop off a food donation? You can visit us at The Accelerator, 720 Ouellette Avenue and drop off a food donation in our lobby from 9am– 5pm between now and December 13th, 2012.
