New Member Spotlight: Eleven Winds

July 8, 2013in Client News 0 Comments

Eleven Wind

What is Eleven Winds (and what services you provide)?
We are a team software engineers who set out to revolutionize software development. We provide custom software solutions that drive businesses. These solutions facilitate day to day processes, and typically eliminate the manual element from these processes. Our goal is to embed ourselves into our client’s world, learn their business inside and out, and develop a solution that will eliminate many, and hopefully all, manual processes, with the end result being better productivity, efficiency, distribution of resources and eradication of manual error. We can provide web application solutions that support the mobile movement, desktop application solutions to support the every day business needs, or extensions to currently existing software that needs to be taken to that next level. Regardless of your needs, we can definitely be of assistance.

Where did the name Eleven Winds come from?
The idea of Eleven Winds stemmed from the nautical world where the notion “to set sail” meant to sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. If you break it down further, Eleven derives from our logo which emulates sails and also resembles the number 11. Winds completed the “set sail” notion. The overall idea is for clients to engage with us and set sail – truly enjoy the experience of getting a custom solution tailored to your specific needs which will make your business run much smoother. Our product names also take on a nautical theme!
Anything new and exciting happening with your company?
We are constantly evolving and trying acquire as much knowledge as possible, and trying to stay current with the ever evolving world of technology. At this time, we are working on solution with Franco-Sol Day Care in Tecumseh, which will expedite their billing and tracking needs. It will be the first official product launch from Eleven Winds. The product is code-named “Admiral” to coincide with our nautical theme.
Due to the demands of our clients and the market, Eleven Winds has already moved offices. We have grown and so has our needs for space. You can find our newly renovated and modern office at 588 Notre Dame St. in Belle River.
What’s your favorite technology gadget?
Solid State Hard Drives! These devices have transformed our business processes as it allows us to write better software much quicker. On the old HDD, compiling our software took quite a long time. These new devices have sped up the processes astronomically. I am not sure what my team and I would do without them.
Why did you join WEtech Alliance?
To be part of growing network and movement. Eleven Winds wants to be known in the community and be a key player in the technology movement of the area. Obviously being a start-up, we have a ways to go before this can happen, but we need to start somewhere. WEtech has allowed Eleven Winds to get this movement on track and get our name our into the market.
