Q: Describe yourself in five words.
A: Giving, organized, creative, active & fun!
Q: Are you more of a hunter or a gatherer?
A: Gather- I am always willing and want to learn new things, meet new people, and gain new experiences.

A: “I Can’t Believe I Had Time to Write This” – An Autobiography by Kaitlyn Karns
Q: If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?
A: I would be a horse! Active, majestic, and loving with a kind soul. They also like to graze and snack whenever they please, and that sounds pretty good to me!
Q: What’s your favourite ’90s jam?
A: “Jumpin’, Jumpin'”- Destiny’s Child… or really any Destiny’s Child song.
Q: What would your pet say about you if we asked for a reference?
A: From endless treats to cuddles and the new toys she buys me, even though my Dad says, “no more toys”. I would say she is a pretty sweet lady and super giving!
Q: You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?
A: Ocean blue- Calming yet bright, but not too bright. A colour that reminds me of being out on the water in the warm sun.
Q: What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?
A: An Oyster- and I will never eat one ever again.
Q: What do you work toward in your free time?
A: I work towards making time to relax and explore the hidden gems of Windsor-Essex and Detroit! I also work towards my creative project, The Broadway Bunch which is a professional performance group that brings high calibre cabarets to YQG.
Q: What were you like in high school?
A:I was the theatre kid who always ate lunch in the drama room and who was involved in every student society possible.
Q: Favourite superhero?
A: Elastigirl from The Incredibles.
Q: What Friends character do you most identify with?
A: I haven’t really watched Friends (sorry), but I am told I am most like Monica.
Q: What accomplishment are you most proud of?
A: Completing and publishing my thesis! Grad school had so many ups and downs and I found that writing my thesis was a very personal journey. I learned a lot and at the end of the day, I am truly proud of what I created.
Q: Who would play you in a movie?
A: The female lead in some kind of theatrical movie! The performer, lounge singer, or perhaps the hidden star ready to get her big break!
Q: What is your best feature?
A: I think one of my best features is my willingness to take on a new project and make it happen!
Q: Have you ever tried to do something and you knew that you were going to be really bad at it, but you did it anyway?
A: Yes! Ice skating… I am SO bad, but it just looks so much fun!
Q: You’re on death row. What’s your last meal?
A: A super decadent lobster mac & cheese with a glass of expensive cab sav. For dessert, anything with Oreos!
Q: What is one thing you’re most excited for in joining the WEtech Alliance team?
A: To continue to have a positive impact on our community by sharing opportunities and showing what Windsor-Essex has to offer! I am also super excited to meet and learn from new people with so many different backgrounds!
