Founders Final Demo & Pitch Day

Join us for our 5th annual RBC EPIC Founders Demo & Pitch Day!
August 1st marks the end of the 12-week RBC EPIC Founders Program. Our 2019 Founders cohort will be showcasing their business ventures during our “demo” portion of the day, followed by the Final Pitch, where each business will pitch their idea to a panel of judges. The winning pitch will receive a $3,500 award courtesy of RBC Foundation.
Hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments will be served.
Tentative Agenda:
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Meet the Founders – Open House Format
3:30 pm – 6:00 pm: Pitch Competition begins, followed by announcement of winning Founder – Formal Presentation
Detroit Fintech Challenge Pitch Competition

20 teams will be narrowed down to 6 finalists!
4:15pm- 4:45pm: Keynote with Mike Duncan, Founder & CEO, Bankjoy
4:45pm – 6:00pm: Pitch Competition (6 Finalists)
6:00pm -7:00pm: DINNER and NETWORKING
7:00pm – 7:30pm: Award Ceremony
ABOUT DFC
The Detroit Fintech Challenge & Pitch Competition, happening August 3rd at Techtown in Detroit, will bring together entrepreneurs, coders, developers and other creative minds from across the region to generate enduring solutions to the biggest challenges and major concerns in the financial, payment, banking, and insurance sectors. The Detroit Fintech Challenge serves as a catalyst in the revitalization of Detroit by driving a community around Fintech Technologies, engaging all the stakeholders in this space, and creating new and innovative companies. Cash and non-cash prizes will be awarded to three winners selected by the judges, and one lucky company could also qualify for an equity investment from Kyyba Innovations. Further details will be announced in the coming weeks.
