Windsor startup AntsLabor aims to make renting and owning a property as simple as using Uber.
Could a ‘proptech’ revolution make renting in Ontario fairer?
AntsLabor, a new proptech start-up, aims to make renting and home management for landlords and homeowners as easy and as stress free as possible. Through their new platform ATLASIA, AntsLabor has designed a new product geared towards saving time, money and monitoring utility anomalies.
The Ontario proptech, pitching itself as going “beyond the standard rental management platform on offer”, will include utility monitoring, expense tracking and automated tax deductions.
AntsLabor is founded by former University of Waterloo graduate and Windsor-Essex landlord, Jake Queue. “When I first became a homeowner, I was staggered by how inefficient the processes of bill tracking and utility anomalies were,” says Queue. “I suffered some financial loss because I simply couldn’t track usage data carefully enough.”
Now, all bills and expenses can be tracked and monitored by landlords and homeowners via the AntsLabor platform, ATLASIA.
“Finances and taxes can be tricky, but we’re committed to making them easier to manage so you can spend less time on paperwork and more on what you love” adds Queue.
AntsLabor believes the automated and more streamlined process will lead to reduced costs across the board for home owners and property managers.
“Locally grown proptech is an emerging sector for our portfolio, but it’s not surprising,” says Adam Castle, Director of Venture Services for WEtech Alliance. “With Remax Canada announcing in November that Windsor-Essex is one of the hottest housing markets in the nation, I look forward to watching this technology make a big difference in our local market for tech-savvy investors looking to maximize their property income.”
The ATLASIA platform works by providing landlords and homeowners with a simple visual representation of all rentals, utilities, financials and tax deductions in one easy to navigate dashboard. New customers can sign up via email in less than two minutes and can see everything at a glance.
“Windsor and Essex are filled with opportunity when it comes to investing in great property,” explains Queue. “But small issues can become big problems literally overnight. With this platform we can help landlords and homeowners become real time responsive to costs that can quickly get out of control.”
