WINDSOR-ESSEX, ON., May 13, 2021 – Soothsayer Analytics, a U.S.-based ICT company, is excited to announce its expansion into the Canadian market. Over the last year, Soothsayer has grown to 100+ employees globally and Canada marks their sixth expansion. The company expects to be established in Windsor-Essex within two to three months, hiring both technical and sales representatives with projections for 20+ data scientists working in Canada.
Soothsayer will offer data science consulting and training services to the Canadian market. Canada’s large concentration of world-class manufacturing, healthcare, retail, utility and financial services organizations align well with Soothsayer’s cross-industry experience. Their mission will be to help companies in Canada hasten the adoption of analytical solutions and provide the ability to analyze, visualize and act on data with better speed, efficiency and insight.
“Recognizing that Canada is undergoing a major digital transformation, Soothsayer cannot imagine a better place for expansion. Our highly unique abilities in advanced analytics and artificial intelligence will provide an unparalleled offering to companies looking for a competitive edge in the Canadian market, and we look forward to collaborating with local companies to build world-class solutions to complex and meaningful problems.” – Gaurav Agrawal, CEO of Soothsayer Analytics.
“Invest WindsorEssex is extremely pleased to welcome Soothsayer Analytics to our region. This is another great example of a US-based ICT company choosing Windsor-Essex to establish its Canadian operations as a result of our strategic location and strong binational talent and workforce pipeline.” – Stephen MacKenzie, President and CEO, Invest WindsorEssex.
Soothsayer would like to thank Invest WindsorEssex, the region’s lead economic development agency, for helping bring this to fruition. The company chose Windsor-Essex specifically because of the proximity to their Detroit office, access to a highly-skilled workforce and talent pipeline through the University of Windsor and St. Clair College as well as the attractive cost of living.
Soothsayer Analytics received support from several organizations throughout the expansion process and would also like to personally thank Michelle Gubatan, Senior Business Advisor, Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade; David R. Newhouse, International Trade Development Manager, Michigan Economic Development Corporation; Nancy Ward, Director, Michigan Canada Center; Joe Goncalves, Director, Investment Attraction and Corporate Marketing, Invest WindsorEssex; and Adam Castle, Director of Venture Services, WEtech Alliance.
